How Devscape collects, handles, and protects your information
Who we are
Devscape is operated by Devscape (“Devscape,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Information we process
Devscape is designed to collect as little information as possible.
When you use Devscape without signing in, we may process:
- Public Stack Overflow content you choose to view, such as questions, answers, comments, tags, and public profile information.
- App settings stored on your device, including appearance preferences, saved posts, recent searches, and favourite tags.
- Basic technical information required to make network requests, such as device IP address processed by your network provider and the Stack Exchange API.
When you choose to connect a Stack Overflow account, Devscape may process:
- An OAuth access token needed to perform the features you approve.
- Your Stack Overflow public profile and activity needed for enabled features, such as profile display, inbox, bookmarks, questions, answers, voting, comments, and posting.
- The permissions you explicitly authorize, such as Inbox access or write access.
How we use information
We use information only to:
- Provide and improve Devscape features you use.
- Load Stack Overflow content through the official Stack Exchange API.
- Securely connect your authorized Stack Overflow account.
- Store your selected settings, drafts, and saved posts.
- Diagnose reliability and security issues when necessary.
- Respond to your support requests.
Token storage and account control
OAuth access tokens are stored securely on your device and are used only to provide authorized Stack Overflow functionality.
You can disconnect your account at any time by using Settings → Log out in Devscape. Logging out removes the locally stored token from Devscape.
Sharing of information
Devscape does not sell personal information.
Devscape sends requests to Stack Exchange services when you use Stack Overflow-related features. Those requests and your Stack Overflow account activity are also governed by Stack Overflow’s policies and terms.
Devscape may rely on essential service providers, such as app hosting, crash reporting, or email support providers, if those services are enabled. If we add analytics, advertising, payments, or new third-party services, this policy will be updated before those services are enabled.
Data retention
Most Devscape preferences, saved posts, and drafts are stored locally on your device. You can clear local cached content through Devscape settings or by uninstalling the app.
Support messages may be retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, maintain records, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations.
Children
Devscape is not directed to children under 13. Do not use Devscape if you are under the minimum age required to use Stack Overflow or applicable law.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect information, including encrypted network connections and secure local token storage. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Devscape changes or when required by law. The current version will always be available on this page with its updated date.

Acceptance
By downloading, accessing, or using Devscape, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy above.
If you do not agree, do not use Devscape.
Independent application
Devscape is an independent application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Stack Overflow or Stack Exchange.
“Stack Overflow” and “Stack Exchange” are trademarks of their respective owners.
Stack Overflow content and attribution
Devscape accesses public content through the official Stack Exchange API.
Content displayed from Stack Overflow remains subject to its applicable licence and attribution requirements. Devscape displays source information, author attribution where available, original post links, and applicable licence information.
You must not remove attribution, misuse Stack Overflow content, or use Devscape to violate applicable content licences.
Your Stack Overflow account
If you connect a Stack Overflow account:
- You are responsible for all actions performed through your account.
- You must follow Stack Overflow’s Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and community rules.
- You must not use Devscape for spam, harassment, automated posting, automated voting, automated comments, automated flags, or other abusive activity.
- Devscape may limit or disable features if needed to protect users, comply with API requirements, or prevent abuse.
Availability and changes
Devscape depends on third-party services, including the Stack Exchange API. Features may change, become unavailable, or be removed without notice.
We may update, suspend, or discontinue any part of Devscape when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or product improvement.
No professional advice
Content in Devscape is community-generated and is provided for general informational purposes. Do not rely on it as legal, financial, medical, security, or other professional advice.
Disclaimer
Devscape is provided “as is” and “as available,” to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that Devscape, Stack Overflow content, or third-party services will always be accurate, secure, uninterrupted, or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Devscape is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of Devscape.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where applicable law does not allow that limitation.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [your country/state], unless applicable consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms when Devscape changes or when required by law. Continued use of Devscape after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

Content and attribution requests
If you believe Devscape content lacks appropriate attribution, is displayed incorrectly, or should be reviewed, email soumyadipmaityjee1@gmail.com with the original Stack Overflow link and a description of the issue.
Stack Overflow account support
Devscape cannot reset Stack Overflow passwords, modify Stack Overflow account security settings, or resolve Stack Overflow moderation decisions.
